Cultural Transformation - Finance

Project X Partners were engaged to partner with the Global Finance function to support a business operating and cultural transformation, and to address a series of low colleague engagement results.

We engaged with the Finance ExCo, leadership community and colleagues with focus groups, interviews and SME deep dives to discover and confirm the change management impact on culture, future leadership capabilities, colleague and stakeholder engagement.

We also conducted a Finance Industry review of Future Finance Leadership trends and priorities.

After discovery and analysis, we then partnered with HR, their Communications function and Finance ExCo to create a series of Future Finance Function storyboards and briefing notes for the entire organisation.

We further developed a Future Finance Leadership Persona with supporting briefings, stood up a community of People & Culture working groups and created a Future Finance Leadership Development Programme.

Outcomes

Within the first 12 months, we saw a significant uptick in the Engagement results which continued into year two.

Targeted development activity for leaders was identified which focused on helping them understand and articulate the Function’s transformation, the impact on ways of working, policies and processes which enabled them to lead and navigate their teams through the change.

Additionally, the project, specifically prompted by the positive improvement in colleague engagement, led to Project X Partners consulting with two other business areas to help them think through their People & Culture approach.
